            86 Head of Dairy Cattle

48 Holstein cows, 1 Brown Swiss cow, 1 R&W Hol. cow; 4 Hol. springing heifers, 4 Hol. heifers (short bred or ready to breed), 5 Hol. heifers (6-12 mo.); 10 Hol. heifers (4-5 mo.), 10 Hol. heifer calves, 1 Reg. service sire; 2 Hol. bulls (700-800 lbs.)

This is a good herd of dairy cattle that are well bred for production.  The herd is timed very well for the sale w/25 cows recently fresh & several close springers as well.  This is a very young herd w/over half of the cows being in their 1st or 2nd lactation w/many productive years ahead of them.  Bulk tank receipts show a 3.8% B.F. 3.0 pro. & SCC in the 300,000 range.  All cattle have received their 9-way vacc. & wormed w/Epernex as well.  The cows are housed in a tie stall barn & left out daily for exercise. This herd has never been pushed for production but shows exc. potential.  The heifers are very well grown, accustomed to outdoor housing and will make exc. replacements.
