After many years of successful dairy farming, the Szews family has decided to discontinue milking cows at this time.  Current DHIA RHA is 24,095 m. 3.8% 918 BF (2X & no BGH used).  There will be several cows milking from 85-120 lbs. per day.  Current bulk tank SCC is in the 75-120,000 range. This is a very young herd w/50 cows currently in their 1^st or 2^nd lactation.  The herd is 100% A-I sired w/many daughters of Atwood, Guthrie, Brady, Sanchez, Braxton, Corvette, Mogul, Clark & Bradnick selling.  Herd health is excellent w/2X per month herd checks w/Northwoods Vet Service. Current vacc. protocols are all cows receiving Bovi-Shield Gold as well as J-Vac, Scourguard & Clostridium vacc. given at dry off.  The cows are housed in a tie stall barn, are left out daily for exercise & have  been exposed to free-stall housing & headlocks as heifers.  A catalog w/all pedigree, classification, production & breeding info will be available.  If you are looking for the very best in replacement cows or springing heifers, be sure to attend the Szews dispersal.  Feel free to call for a catalog or view on line at www.christensensales.com.
