Selling 100 Head of High Grade Holstein Dairy Cattle

90 Holstein cows, 10 Red & White Holstein cows

After many years of dairy farming, owners have decided to discontinue milking cows.  This is a very young herd of cows w/over half the cows being in their 1^st or 2^nd lactation.  Top sires from Genex have been used as well as top registered herd sires used for heifers and cleanup purposes.  These are nice dairy framed cows w/proper feet & legs and exceptionally nice udders.  The herd is housed in a tie stall barn, used to being switched in and out of a freestall barn & should adapt well to most housing & milking systems.  Current bulk tank receipts show a 72 lb. per cow average, 3.8% B.F. & SCC in the 200,000 range.  This sale will feature several recently fresh cows milking from 85 to 120 lbs. per day on 2X per day milking and no BGH used.  There will also be some Holstein cross cows sold as well.  All pertinent production, SCC & breeding info will be posted on sale day.  If you are looking for very good replacement cows, be sure to attend this sale.
