45 Holstein milk cows of which 9 are Registered; 2 Jersey milk cows; 3 Jersey-Holstein cross cows; 1 Red Holstein milk cow

There are currently 6 cows fresh & open, 5 Springers and the balance are milking good and bred back for Fall and Winter freshening.

18 Bred Holstein heifers of which 3 are registered

  4 Jersey bred heifers

  4 Holstein heifers ready to breed

14 Holstein heifers (6-12 mo. old) of which 4 are Registered

13 Holstein heifers (4-6 mo. old) of which 3 are registered

  1 Red Holstein bull (5 mo. old)

This is a good young herd of dairy cattle that are well bred up for production. The DHIA RHA is 18,669 m 3.58 F 2.98 P and a current bulk tank SCC of only 130,000. This herd is producing very well but has not been pushed hard for production.  There are currently 27 cows that are just 1^st or 2^nd  calf.  Artificial breeding to the Top herd sires from Select Sires has been used in this herd. The young stock are very well grown and accustomed to outdoor housing.  If you are looking for good young replacement cows and heifers, be sure to attend this sale.
