After many years in the dairy business, Jeff & Mary have decided to retire from milking cows & will offer this fine herd of Holstein dairy cattle at public auction.  The herd is housed in a free-stall barn & milked in a parlor.  Only top A-I sires have been used for many years w/daughters of Durham, Baxter, Mac, Dundee, Toystory, Armstead, Roy, Sanchez, Super, Lou, Talent, Aspen & Atwood selling.  This is a predominantly homebred herd & 100% A-I sired.  Current DHIA RHA is 18,400 m 3.9% 720 BF w/ a bulk tank SCC of only 56,000.  This is a very young herd w/85 cows being in their 1^st or 2^nd lactation.  The herd is TMR fed but are not pushed hard for production, 2X per day milking w/no BGH used.  These are the type of young cows that will easily rise to the level of production of any herd they are taken. There will be 24 cows that have recently freshened as well as another 16 that are close springers.  Many recently fresh cows are milking from 85 to over 120 lbs. per day.  Herd health is excellent w/a monthly herd health program and routine hoof trimming practiced and seasonal vacc. up to date.  The heifers are extremely well grown, free-stall acclimated and sired by the best bulls in A-I w/daughters of Atwood, Sanchez, Iota, Braxton, Winbrook & Bradnick selling.
