This is a very good herd of dairy cattle that have been well bred for production. The herd is housed in both a sand bedded free-stall barn as well as a bedding pack barn & milked in a flat barn parlor. This herd also has access to a nearby pasture & should adapt well to most housing & milking systems. Top sires from Alta Genetics have been used w/current sires & service sires being Mac, Ramos, Suede, Augusta, Apollo, Blastoff & Sparta. This is a very young herd of cows w/55 cows being only 1st or 2nd calf. The herd is well timed for the sale w/24 cows recently fresh as well as 13 close springers. Current bulk tank receipts show an average of over 60 lbs. per day 3.7% B.F. 3.1 pro. & SCC in the 250,000 range. The herd receives a 9-way vacc. & routine hoof trimming as well. The quality of cows will range from several fancy uddered fresh young cows that are good enough for the most discriminating dairyman to fresh three quartered cows that are milking well also.
