75 Head of High Grade Holstein Dairy Cattle

70 Holstein cows, 5 Holstein close springing heifers

After many years of successful dairy farming, the Viegut’s have decided to disperse their fine herd of cows & continue cash cropping their farm.  Top sires from Genex have been used for over 40 years resulting in sharp dairy typed cows w/exceptionally good udders, feet & legs.  This is a 100% AI sired homebred herd for over 35 years.  The herd is currently averaging 85 lbs. per day w/4.0% B.F 3.1 Pro and a SCC of only 140,000.  There will be several recently fresh cows milking from 100-130 lbs. per day w/no BGH used.  This is a very young herd w/65 of the cows being in their 1^st or 2^nd lactation.  There will be no three quartered or blemished cows in this sale, just exceptionally nice young cows that know how to milk. This sale will feature over 25 recently fresh heifers that are milking extremely well. Herd health is excellent w/a monthly herd health program used, routine seasonal vaccinations up to date and routine hoof trimming as well.  A catalog with all pertinent production, SCC & breeding info. will be available on sale day.  If you are looking for very good replacement cows or springing heifers, be sure to attend this sale. In case of inclement weather, sale will be held under cover.

Special Note: The Viegut’s will have some feed for sale after sale day. (call Jim for details)
