60 Head of High Grade & Registered Holstein Dairy Cattle
58 Holstein cows, 2 springing Holstein heifers
After many years of dairy farming, the Kressin family has decided to discontinue milking cows at this time. Current DHIA RHA is 21,313 m. 3.6% B.F. & 772 B.F. Bulk tank SCC has been in the 200-300,000 range. The herd has never been pushed for production w/no TMR feeding and mostly home grown feeds utilized. Top sires from Genex have been used w/several daughters of Jacey, Troy, Tampa, Cabriolet, O-Style & Clark selling. This has been a 100% closed and A-I bred herd since 1980 as well. The herd is housed in a tie-stall barn & spend the majority of the time outdoors during the warm weather months. This is a very young herd w/30 cows being in their 1st or 2nd lactation w/many productive years ahead of them. These are good young cows w/lots of potential to do even better for their new owners. The herd is well timed for the sale w/10 cows recently fresh as well as 16 close springers. If you are looking for good young replacement cows, be sure to attend this sale.
