#2132 – 2 yr. old milking 84 lbs.  SCC 81

The Flory family has sold their farm & will now disperse their herd of dairy cattle at public auction.  The herd is housed in a sand bedded free-stall barn, milked in a double 10 parlor & should adjust well to all milking & housing facilities. Current DHIA RHA is 25,154 m. 907 BF & 787 Pro (2X a day milking).  Bulk tank receipts show an 85 lb. average w/3.6% B.F., 3.1 P & an SCC of only 105,000.    This is a very young herd of cows w/approx. 120 cows being in their 1^st or 2^nd lactation w/many productive years ahead of them.  Top sires from Select Sires have been used for many years resulting in sharp dairy framed cows w/proper feet, legs & fancy well attached udders.  All cows are mated w/Select Sires as well.  The herd has been 100% A-I sired for many years & this is a predominantly closed, homebred herd.  Herd health is excellent w/twice monthly herd checks done by Athens Vet Clinic and routine Bovi-Shield Gold vacc. kept up to date.  Routine hoof trimming is up to date also.  This sale will feature approx. 50 cows that are recently fresh & milking from 85 to over 120 lbs. per day as well as 25 close springing cows.  The young stock are very well grown, accustomed to outdoor housing, headlocks & should make excellent herd replacements.  A catalog w/all pertinent ID, DHIA, SCC & breeding info will be available.  If you are looking for the very best in replacement cows or heifers right on the farm, be sure to attend this sale.  Please call for an appointment to view cattle before the sale.

Feed (Sells at 10 A.M.):  (3) 10’x250’ silage bags of corn silage; approx. 60’ x 10’ silage bag of first crop haylage; approx. 30’x10’ silage bag of 3^rd & 4^th crop haylage (loading available)
